今天无疑是对广大有意移民加拿大的申请人值得庆祝的一天。就在4月24日（北京时间）凌晨5点，加拿大移民局公布了一系列的移民新政策，其中除了即将出台的【特快通道】，还涉及到经验类移民、联邦技工移民，以及对中国申请人影响最大的【联邦技术移民】。
联邦技术移民的政策，从2004年起至今已经10年了，期间虽然有些小的变动，但是基本都是换汤不换药的做法。延续一贯以来的打分制，明确告知凡是符合打分要求并达到67分标准（满分100分）的申请人，都可以在非常经济（只需要交纳550加元申请费以及490加元登录费）的情况下，申请获得加拿大移民身份。
此次公布的联邦技术移民新政，主要有以下几个方面的体现：
1. 从原先的5000个名额，增加到现在的25000个名额
2. 从原先的24个紧缺职业，放宽到50个紧缺职业
3. 从原先的申请周期遥遥无期，到现在预计审核周期为6个月
4. 每个职位的最高申请人数，放宽到史无前例的1000人
其中对中国申请人影响最大的部分表现为紧缺职业的放宽，此次重新开放了包括金融分析师、高级会计师、审计师、采购经理、职业经理、人力资源经理、制造业经理、主管等一系列商科背景的职位；同时，包括土木工程师、信息工程师、软件工程师、信息管理、软件开发等一系列与计算机相关的职位。
