WallacesaidseveralexpertsspentTuesdayanalyzingonlythatpage—thenumberoflettersoneachline,linesoneachpage,sizeofpage—andthebook'sbinding(16)andcover,whichhedescribedas"leathervelum(17),verythickwalletinappearance."
Itcouldtakemonthsofstudy,hesaid,justtoidentifythesafestwaytopry(18)openthepageswithoutdamagingordestroyingthem.Heruledout(19)theuseofX-raystoinvestigatewithoutmovingthepages.
