美国精算硕士院校一览

金吉列太原

在美国，开设精算专业硕士项目的学校其实非常少，前100中仅有7个学校，因此很多致力于成为北美精算师的同学，一般会同时申请加拿大和美国的学校。学校少的好处就是选校很容易，基本逃不出这些学校的范围。
Columbia University: Master of Actuarial Science

康涅狄格州是美国最富有的州之一，这里也有全美最多的保险公司总部。康涅狄格大学的精算毕业生大都可以从事保险、养老金、金融或者咨询等方面的工作，是一个完全强调就业而非学术的硕士项目，因此不适合打算读博士的学生。有两个学位都可以修精算的课程，一个是数学学位，另一个是金融数学。

该校很早就开始了精算方面的教学，在1902年还没有统计系的时候，就已经教授“保险的数学理论”。1981年，正式开设精算专业，系的名字也由统计系改成了统计与精算系。该系在2009年，被SOA授予12个优秀的精算中心之一，在美国享有较高的声誉。
